2012 Kia Rio Exterior Design

STAND-OUT DESIGN

The 2012 Kia Rio 4-door reinterprets the smooth, chiseled lines of the upscale Kia Optima sedan to create a one-of-a-kind look that builds off the award-winning design esthetic of Peter Schreyer, Kia’s internationally celebrated Chief Design Officer. It expresses motion and emotion that sets it apart from every other car in its class. Stand out from crowd in the new Kia Rio 4-door.

HEADLAMPS

4-bulb type is standard. Projection lights and LED positioning lamps are optional.

LED REAR COMBINATION LAMPS

Split-design for an upscale appearance. LEDs also last longer, and consume very little electrical energy. Incandescent-type bulbs are used for the standard specification rear combination lamps. Premium LED lamps are optional.

WHEELS AND TIRES
Whether you select the basic steel rims with full wheel covers or one of the lightweight alloy wheels, Rio offers numerous choices to suit different tastes.
AERODYNAMIC FRONT BUMPER LIP

Fuel efficiency isn’t just about engines and transmissions: aerodynamics play an important role, too. So the Rio 4-door features wind-defying design details – like a front bumper lip that helps reduce aerodynamic drag.

17” ALLOY WHEELS

The Rio 4-door SX model features robustly styled, 17” alloy wheels with a sporty, performance-inspired look.

COUPE-LIKE SILHOUETTE

The Rio 4-door has a sweeping, coupe-like roofline – an appearance of movement and forward motion even when the car is standing still.

POWER-FOLDING SIDE MIRRORS

Luxury cars are known for their power-folding mirrors with integrated LED turn signals. This hallmark of luxury is now a standard feature on Rio 4-door EX models.
